About
Work and Organisational Psychologist - Coach - Personnel and Organisational Developer
My own professional development has also been characterised by change and constant reinvention. Following the completion of a basic commercial apprenticeship and several years of professional experience in the Caribbean, I elected to become a psychologist in my mid-thirties. Initially, this involved working with apprenticeship graduates to complete the vocational baccalaureate. In addition, it necessitated the identification of more economical accommodation options, which entailed relinquishing the convenience of regular holidays and the use of a car. After all, I relinquished a lucrative full-time position in order to pursue part-time studies over a seven-year period, which necessitated managing with a substantially reduced income. In addition, I was required to return to formal education and assimilate a substantial volume of learning material.
Even if this change was intentional and self-initiated, I also experienced some emotional distress. The investment was ultimately justified. The study of psychology provided valuable insights into my own conduct and that of my peers, as well as the intricacies of the system within which we function. However, I have identified a professional calling: namely, to assist individuals in optimising their work environment and to devise strategies that ensure both job satisfaction and optimal physical and mental well-being. In my professional opinion, these two components – mission fulfilment and physical and mental health – are inextricably linked.

I have found that spending time with my husband and brother, sometimes accompanied by our cat, in nature (the forest is a place of strength for me) or when drawing and painting, helps me to unwind. I am also passionate about learning languages.
